The effectiveness of psychological resilience on psychological well-being and educational adaptation of children with oppositional defiant disorder

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this research was the effectiveness of psychological resilience on psychological well-being and educational adaptation of children with oppositional defiant disorder.

Method: It was a semi-experimental research design of pre-test-post-test and follow-up with a control group. The statistical population of this study included all children aged 9-12 years with oppositional defiant disorder in Urmia city in 2023. The sample size includes 30 subject (15 subject in the experimental group and 15 subject in the control group) from the statistical population were selected by available sampling method and they were placed in two control and experimental groups. For the experimental group, psychological resilience intervention was implemented, while the control group did not receive training. The research tools included the Sterling Children's Well-Being Scale and Educational Adaptation Questionnaire. The data was analyzed using the analysis of variance test with repeated measurements.

Results: The results of the F scale are based on the effects of dealing with stages and groups, with a variable opinion, with a raw weight (284/31) and a strange sound (048/19) with the meaning of (001/0P<). There is a discrepancy between the numbers of Behzeesti Rawanshnakhti and Sazgari Amuzshi during the stages of Pishazmon and Psazmon and they are the names of Peshazmon and the different meanings of (01/0P<).

Conclusion: The findings of this research provide useful information regarding the psychological resilience intervention and counselors and psychologists can use this intervention to improve the psychological well-being and educational adaptation of children with oppositional defiant disorder.
